Installation of approximately 6,357 square feet of commercial-grade epoxy flooring, 6,700 square feet of commercial-grade vinyl composite tile, luxury vinyl tile, or luxury vinyl planking, and approximately 1,750 linear feet of cove base molding, including all professional services, materials, and labor necessary to complete the flooring work as specified. Location: The work is to be performed at the facility associated with the contracting office requesting site-visit registration via michelle.williams4@va.gov and mary.tai@va.gov. The scope of this project will include a large area of flooring that is currently impacted by an asbestos abatement project, which has left the raw concrete floor exposed. The asbestos abatement project will be complete, and the area of the asbestos abatement project will be tested and cleared before the work of this contractor begins. The contractor shall include the required preparation of the existing exposed concrete floor for the areas specified in the PWS. The contractor shall be responsible for the storage of all materials for the project per OSHA/EPA requirements. The contractor shall remove all waste debris and trash generated by the project and dispose of all containers per EPA requirements off-site. Portions of the work areas are currently accessible and unoccupied. The contractor will be required to break the work in this PWS down into smaller work packages as all work cannot be completed concurrently. The contractor must coordinate with the COR and SFM Facility Manager to develop a schedule which allows for coordination flooring replacement at the end of each abatement project segment. The Scope of Work for this project includes all labor, management, equipment, materials, and disposal of waste materials for the flooring installation project in Building 215.
