Bidders must be prequalified by the New Jersey Division Property Management and Construction in the required trade categories or have prequalified subcontractors. A single lump sum bid is required for all work and materials. Bids must be sealed and delivered to the specified address. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check for ten percent (10%) of the total bid (not to exceed $20,000), and a Consent of Surety for a 100% performance bond. Corporate bidders must submit a list of stockholders owning 10% or more. All required forms found in the bid package must be completed and returned with the bid. Contractors must possess a valid Contractor's Registration Certificate at the time of bid submission. Bids cannot be withdrawn for 60 days after opening. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
