Renovation of a mixed-use development in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and recreation facility.
The City is seeking a qualified Contractor to provide turnkey services for the replacement of emergency power generators, automatic transfer switches (ATS), and related components at two City facilities: Bohrer Activity Center and the Department of Public Works. The Scope of Work includes: securing all necessary permits and coordinating required inspections; supplying all labor, materials, and equipment to replace generators, ATS units, docking station (for one facility), and associated components; performing tasks requiring power interruption only during unoccupied/non-operational building hours; testing to confirm all systems function as recommended by the manufacturer; pre-commissioning, initial startup, load bank test to verify performance, and ATS testing; topping off fuel tanks prior to project final completion; optimization, fine tuning of engine performance and control parameters; and providing documentation and training. All work must comply with local, state, and federal codes, and be performed in accordance with the Construction Drawings, Project Specifications, and City Noise Ordinance documents referenced in the procurement materials.
