The work consists of HVAC, including water cooled chiller, pump, piping, electrical, and control systems for the Carver Elementary Chiller Replacement. Proposals must be submitted in duplicate on the provided form and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the base bid. Security will be forfeited as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to execute the contract and post required bonds within the specified time. Liquidated damages will be $300.00 for each day after the stipulated time to substantial completion. Bidders must hold a valid Certificate of Responsibility and comply with all applicable Mississippi Codes and licensing requirements. All bids for public projects over $50,000 must have the contractor's Certificate of Responsibility number on the outside of the envelope or a statement that the bid does not exceed $50,000. The name and address must be clearly indicated on the envelope. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
