Geo-Hydro Project Number 261498.10 The work completed shall consist of paving approximately 25,000 square yards of asphalt roadway complete with 1.5" of asphalt overlay, transition milling, striping, manhole risers, removing and replacing road base, and all appurtenances necessary for a complete installation. The Work shall be completed in Spring 2026, but the exact start date and time allotted for completion shall be provided by the Bidder. All Work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Work will be awarded in one (1) Contract. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. All bonds shall be by a surety company licensed in Georgia with an "A" minimum rating of performance and a financial strength of at least five (5) times the contract price as listed in the most current publication of "Best's Key Rating Guide Property Liability". Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price shall be required of the successful bidder if contract is awarded. Each Bond shall be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, including without limitation, the rights to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced or conditional Proposals and to reject the Proposal of any Proponent if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Proponent, whether because the Proposal is not responsive or the Proponent is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the Owner. Contractor shall adjust manhole rims as necessary to maintain a smooth road surface. 8. Contractor shall remove and replace speed bumps as necessary for installation. 9. Contractor shall preserve any elevation change between driveways and roadway so as to not allow water to enter a driveway from the roadway. 10. Contractor shall preserve the existing characteristics of the road. (e.g. camber, superelevation, valley, etc.) 11. Contractor shall stripe roadway as necessary to match existing striping. 12. Overlay paving shall be 1.5" thick 9.5mm Superpave. 13. Sod or Hydroseed disturbed areas to match existing grassing. Vehicular access for emergency services shall be maintained at all times. Contractor shall coordinate traffic control accordingly. Questions can be submitted until 1 week prior to the RFP due date .
