Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Glenolden, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Online sealed bids for improvements to Conway Park will be received. All bid documents, construction plans, and specifications are available online at no cost to prospective bidders. The successful bidder will be required to pay a fee to the PennBid Program of 1/3 of 1% of the contract award value, with a minimum fee of $150.00 and a maximum of $6,000.00. Bidders must confirm the fees prior to bidding and the successful bidder is responsible for these fees. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid, made payable to Darby Township. Requirements include Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates, Public Works Employment Verification, various insurance requirements, equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price, as well as a one-year maintenance bond for 10% of the contract price. The project is assisted with federal funds and various federal requirements apply, including but not limited to Davis Bacon and Related Acts, the Build America Buy America Act, and Section 3 Final rule threshold requirements for contracts over $200,000 in HUD funds. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any technicalities in the best interest of the Township.
