PROJECT OVERVIEW: Northwood Technical College will accept proposals for the pre-qualification of project sponsors for the Construction and Cabinetmaking Program Project House. Northwood Technical College students will participate in the construction of a single-family home within a 15-mile radius of the Rice Lake Campus. The project allows students to gain practical experience in areas like framing, cabinet-making, and interior finishes. The chosen sponsor will act as the project owner and collaborate with Northwood Technical College faculty and staff on various aspects. Although these projects will be bid as completely separate projects, year-by-year, it is the intention of Northwood Tech to use this single pre-qualification process to identify eligible sponsors for the projects. This pre-qualification allows for an additional one-year term as outlined on Page 6 of this document. The respondent will serve as the project’s owner allowing for educational opportunities that align with the competencies of several courses in the Construction and Cabinetmaking program. CONTRACT TERM: It is the intent of Northwood Technical College to award a contract for an initial one (1) year term August 1, 2026, through July 31, 2027, with the option to renew the contract for up to one (1) additional consecutive one (1) year term. The initial contract term will begin August 1, 2026, through July 31, 2027. If all additional renewal options are exercised, the maximum duration of the contract would be through July 31, 2028.
