Contractors are invited to submit an offer for the DPS Summer 2026 Roofing Projects. Bid Package A includes roof restoration and miscellaneous roof repairs at the Buildings and Grounds facility. Bid Package B includes roof replacement and miscellaneous roof repairs at MacArthur and Eisenhower High Schools. A single stipulated sum bid will be received for each of the two bid packages. A Bid Bond and Performance and Payment Bond will be required. The successful bidder must agree to conform to the current rules and regulations of the Fair Employment Practices Commission. Attention is called to Minority Business Enterprise and Minority Workforce Participation goals, and the provisions of Equal Employment Opportunity. Contractors shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor to all laborers, workers, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). The contractor will be responsible for scanning the roof to investigate the presence of wet roof materials prior to the roof restoration process. The contractor will include removal and replacement of up to 5 percent of roofing and wet insulation.
