Bids are for furnishing all work and materials for milling (2") and overlaying 3.3 miles of residential streets with spot concrete curb replacement, spot replacement of rings and castings on manholes and catch basins, gate valve re-bolting, providing truncated domes on sidewalk pedestrian ramps, and additional sidewalk replacement. All work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications on file. Major construction quantities include: o 64,000 SY of Mill Bit Pavement (2") o 30 Pedestrian Ramps (Truncated Domes) o 7,330 Ton of Bit Street Paving o 18 Adjust Rings & Castings o 4,700 LF of B618 Concrete Curb & Gutter o 5 Rebolt Gate Valve Question Deadline 03/13/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents and Contract Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than five (5) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. No bid will be considered unless filed ONLINE with the bid bond, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid as a guarantee that the bidder will enter in to a contract to perform said work. These bid bonds of the three lowest bidders will be retained until a contract has been awarded and signed by all concerned, but no longer than 60 days. All others will be returned within 7 days after the opening of bids. The bids for the work to be done shall be submitted upon the basis of cash payment for the work. No bidder may withdraw this bid for a period of 60 days after the date shown for opening thereof. The City of Hastings reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive informalities therein.
