The purpose of the Horizontal Construction Multiple Award Contract is to provide design-bid-build and design-build construction services for a broad range of military renovation and construction projects. Work performed under task orders may include heavy civil construction activities for the repair, alteration, and demolition of transportation infrastructure, utilities and energy systems such as communications, electrical, natural gas, sewer, and water systems, as well as general site development. The contract is intended to primarily support Malmstrom Air Force Base and its missile alert and launch facilities. The anticipated initial ordering period is five years with a two-year option period, for a potential total contract length of seven years, and an estimated overall contract ceiling of $24,999,999.99. The proposed seed project for this MAC is the Repair North/South Water System (Phase II) at Malmstrom Air Force Base. This project consists of replacing various water mains throughout the installation, including associated valves, fittings, fire hydrants, meters, and appurtenances. The work also includes removal and restoration or replacement of impacted surface features such as concrete driveways, sod, curb and gutter, and asphalt surfacing. The period of performance for the seed project is 180 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
