Renovation of a hospitality development in Holton, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a hospitality development.

The work consists of the existing building renovation to a hotel building, including masonry repair, metal cornice repair, gutter and downspout repair, fire escape repair, window repair and replacement, and door replacement. The scope of work shown is limited to the funding available for this portion of the project by the CDBG funding received. The contract documents describe a larger scope of work than required for this bid, and the owner reserves the right to construct improvements as funding allows. All construction components are described in the construction drawings, specifications, and request for bid proposal. All contractors submitting bids must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and have a current Universal Entity Identification (UEI) number. Written confirmation of the initiation of the SAM registration process shall be included with the bid, and a UEI will be required before work can begin. Bidders must comply with requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award as included in the Bidding Documents. The contractor and subcontractors must comply with the federal Davis-Bacon Act, Copeland "Anti-Kickback" Act, Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, and applicable labor standards and wage rates. Compliance with applicable county, state, and federal nondiscrimination, labor standards, equal employment opportunity, and affirmative action requirements is also required. The project is partially funded by the Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Program managed by the Kansas Department of Commerce. The project is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities therein.
