The Rappahannock County Water & Sewer Authority (RCWSA) is requesting bids for the design and fabrication of the Main Control Panel, furnishing of field instruments itemized in the Contract, and commissioning assistance of the Control Panel and all field instruments furnished under this Contract for its EQ tank project at the Sperryville WWTP in Sperryville, VA. A. The overall project includes the upgrade of a small wastewater treatment plant in Sperryville, Va. In summary, the project includes the following new Work: 1. Equalization (EQ) Tank. 2. 3-phase electrical service. 3. Blowers, UV System, EQ pumping system. 4. Electrical, piping, and aeration systems. 5. Instrumentation, Control, and Monitoring System. 6. Process-Mechanical and electrical installation for all the equipment. 7. Commissioning of the completed project and systems. B. Contractual Arrangements: 1. The project is being constructed using several contractors each with a separate contract with the Owner. In summary, the scope of work for the other major contractors include: a. Process-Mechanical Contractor: 1) Installation and mechanical connection of new mechanical equipment. 2) Installation and completion of piping systems and valves. 3) Installation of the instrumentation field devices. b. Electrical Contractor: 1) Installation of switchboard and other electrical equipment. 2) Installation and termination of power wiring for process-mechanical equipment and equipment provided under this Contract. 3) Installation and termination of instrument signal wiring for process-mechanical equipment and equipment provided under this Contract. 4) Installation of the Main Control Panel (provided under this Contract). 5) Commissioning assistance. C. In general, provide the following to support the overall project: 1) Coordinate schedules with the Process-mechanical and Electrical Contractors. 2) A complete and intact Main Control Panel that requires only external power and signal connections. 3) Guidance and the necessary submittal and vendor data required to allow the correct installation of the devices and equipment provided with this Contract. 4) Commissioning assistance for all equipment provided with this Contract and other equipment connected to the Main Control Panel.
