The work generally includes the full-width mill and overlay of five Township roadways (16,026 SY/1,490 TON), including 2,000 SY of pavement repair and 500 TON leveling/scratch course. The work also involves pavement repair (2,750 SY) along five Township roadways and replacement of pavement markings. Each bid must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified or bank check, or a Bid Bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of PennDOT Pub. 408, in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid price, including all Alternate/Add-On items. The successful Bidder must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds each in an amount equal to the Contract Price and meeting PennDOT Publication 408, Section 103.04 requirements. Bidders must be PennDOT pre-qualified as a "Prime Contractor" per PennDOT Pub. 408, Section 102. The project is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act.
