The scope of work includes repair of second floor decking, columns, and waterproofing as well as all other work of any type or description necessary for contemplation of the Project, whether or not specifically described in the Contract Documents. Bid Packets must be completed in the manner designated in the Contract Documents, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the Project name, and addressed to the Monmouth Beach Borough Clerk. Bid Packets must be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company authorized to do business in New Jersey and either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of the "Borough of Monmouth Beach" for not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price amount, not to exceed $20,000.00. A Performance and Payment Bond for the full amount of the Project is required. The successful bidder must comply with all applicable statutory requirements of the Contract Documents and Plans including N.J.A.C. 17:27, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., Business Registrations (N.J.S.A. 52:32-44), Prevailing Wage Act (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq.), Public Work Contractor Registration (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48), Affirmative Action Requirements (N.J.S.A. 10:5-1 et seq.), and any other legal requirements applicable to this Project. Vendors currently suspended, debarred, or disqualified are excluded from participating. The contract will be awarded to the lowest bidder whose packet is responsive and complies with the Project requirements, provided the bid is reasonable, within available funds, and in the interest of the Borough of Monmouth Beach. The Borough reserves the right to reject all Bid Packets as permitted by law. Contract Documents for the proposed Work, which have been prepared by Julie E. Nastasi, P.E.,C.M.E., of the firm of T&M Associates, will be made available both electronically and in paper form. Bidders will be provided with a link to download the documents after receipt of proper notice and payment of a non-refundable charge of Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00) payable to "T&M Associates" to defray the cost thereof or provided a paper set of the Contract Documents and Plans after receipt of proper notice and payment of a non-refundable charge of One hundred ($100.00) payable to "T&M Associates" to defray the cost thereof.
