Site work and paving for a road / highway in Saint Clair, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Work consists of 9,700 tons of asphalt, 51,300 square yards of cold milling, 1,155 tons of gravel shoulders, and 7,100 square yards of HMA base crushing and shaping on various roads, including pavement markings, monument boxes, and miscellaneous items. Each proposal must include a certified or cashier's check or bid bond from a solvent bank in Michigan, payable to the St. Clair County Road Commission, or a bid bond equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a contract. All work must adhere to the current Michigan Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Construction, Standard Plans, and Supplemental Specifications. Proposal blanks and supplemental specifications are available on the Website. Minority business enterprises will be given full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the basis of gender, disability, race, color, or national origin. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, waive irregularities, and award contracts in the County's best interest.
