The proposed work consists of approximately 1,120 linear feet of road resurfacing and approximately 170 linear feet of new roadway, including 4 new 6 sanitary services. Instructions to bidders: Contract Documents may be examined at the indicated engineers office and may be obtained upon payment of a non-refundable fee. Documents can be shipped at the bidder's expense for an additional fee. Bids will only be accepted from bidders listed on the engineers official list of planholders. A bid guarantee instrument must be submitted with the bid, either as a Bid Guarantee and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid, or a certified check, cashiers check, or irrevocable letter of credit for 10% of the bid. The successful bidder shall furnish a Contract Bond in a sum of not less than 100% of the total contract amount, underwritten by a surety company authorized to transact business in Ohio and listed on the current Department of the Treasury Circular 570. Contractors and subcontractors involved in the project are to use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor to the extent practicable and comply with equal employment opportunity requirements. Bidders must comply with prevailing wage rates as determined for Williams County and the Village of West Unity, Ohio. Each bid must be submitted on the forms provided, contain the full names of parties submitting the proposal, include evidence of experience on similar projects, and must not be withdrawn for 60 days after the scheduled closing time. The Village of West Unity reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities or irregularities, and accept any bid deemed most favorable.
