The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the replacement of all exterior doors and frames at Tewksbury Elementary School and Old Turnpike School. New doors are to include security film. Bids will be received for a lump sum price for the entire project, covering all trades. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) in one of the following categories: (C008) General Construction, (C009) General Construction/Alterations & Additions, or (C012) Doors and Hardware. Bidders must also provide documentation for prequalified subcontractors for the listed classifications, if not prequalified themselves. No modifications to the provided Instructions to Bidders, General Conditions, Supplemental Conditions, or Specifications will be permitted prior to bid acceptance, except by addenda. Each bid must be submitted with a Certificate of Prequalification/Classification, Affidavit as to the Total Amount of Uncompleted Contracts, a Statement of Ownership, Public Works Contractor Registration, a Business Registration Certificate, and an affidavit certifying the bidder is not on any debarred lists. Bids must also include a bid bond or certified/cashier's check equal to 10% of the bid amount (not to exceed $20,000) and a Certificate of Consent of Surety. The successful bidder will be required to furnish additional bonds as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject non-responsive or all bids and to waive minor informalities or non-material exceptions.
