Sealed bids are invited for the construction of the Longfellow Skate Park at 1850 Cleveland Blvd, Lorain, Ohio. Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Letter of Credit equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, or a bond for the full amount of the bid as a guarantee to enter into a contract and secure a performance bond if accepted. Cash deposits are not accepted. Bid blanks and specifications are available online. Bidders must ensure non-discrimination in employment and comply with the American Disabilities Act. Federal minority and women business enterprise requirements must be met. Contractors and subcontractors should use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor as much as practicable, and provide a list of available equipment. Labor must be paid at no less than the prevailing wage rate per the U.S. Department of Labor Davis Bacon requirements for Lorain County. The Director of Safety/Service reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. If a Bidder contemplating submitting a Bid for the proposed Project is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the Contract Documents, it may submit a written request for an interpretation in writing on the form included with the Contract Documents.
