The Work shall consist of, but not be limited to, abandoning and removing existing water main piping and appurtenances, furnishing and installing new water main piping and appurtenances, repair of the trench and asphalt, adjustment of water valve boxes, traffic control, water pollution control, and all related work. Results will be available online. There is no pre-bid meeting scheduled. The time of completion of contract shall be seventy (70) working days as defined in the Standard Specifications for Public Works, 2024 Edition. Liquidated Damages, as defined in the referenced specifications, Section 6-9, shall be $2,300 per calendar day. For this contract, the contractor shall possess Class A license at the time the bid is submitted. Questions regarding the project documents (i.e. plans, specifications, contract documents, bid forms, etc.) will be received by the Project Engineer, through electronically, up to five (5) working days prior to the bid opening as specified in the Invitation to Bid. Questions asked of the Project Engineer after this time will not be addressed. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality or irregularity in the bidding, and to accept any bid when it is to the advantage and best interest of the City to do so, by order of the City Council of the City of Fullerton.
