The general items of work include earthwork cut and fill; drainage facilities; concrete curbs and gutters; asphalt pavement; retaining walls; traffic signal improvements; signing and striping; fencing; landscaping and irrigation system; and all other items not mentioned but indicated on the plans and in the specifications. The general locations and limits of the work are at the intersection of Palos Verdes Drive North at Dapplegray School Entrance, in Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274. The Contractor must complete all work in every detail within NINETY-SIX (96) working days after the date in the Notice to Proceed with the Work, exclusive of maintenance periods and the scheduled pause between Phase 1 and Phase 2. The City of Rolling Hills Estates has scheduled the bid date to ensure that the Contractor will complete construction during the elementary school's summer breaks. The Contractor must begin work on Monday, June 8, 2026. Mobilization may start earlier if it does not affect vehicle traffic or pedestrian access.
