Furnishing of all labor and material for the construction of Water Treatment Plant Improvements for Iron and Manganese Removal. Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders Proof of Responsibility must be submitted to SEH in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Contract requires the use of American Iron and Steel products, which include lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials. Contractor will be required to provide Owner documentation of the use of American Iron and Steel. Contractors on the Project shall be required to comply with the minimum wages and labor standards, and conditions of employment to be observed, as determined by the Federal Davis-Bacon wage rates, under the Contract. The City of Whitehall reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the City.
