Bids are requested for ODOT Item 422 Chip & Seal on 2.89 miles of roads, including repairs with stipulated traffic in Wadsworth Township, Medina County, Ohio. Wadsworth Township will supply the slag aggregate located at 320 Chestnut Street, Wadsworth, Ohio. The contractor is responsible for providing a loader and operator to load the provided material and is responsible for hauling, spreading, and rolling the cover aggregate. Each bidder is required to submit a bid guaranty with the bid in one of the following forms: (1) a Bid/Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the amount bid; or (2) a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Letter of Credit equal to 10% of the amount bid, conditioned that the bidder, if accepted, must execute a contract in conformity with the bid, plans, details, specifications, and bills of material. A Letter of Credit shall be revocable only at the option of the Township. Contractor compliance with equal employment opportunity requirements detailed in the Bid Documents is required. All contractors and subcontractors involved will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor. Compliance with Equal Opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Executive Order 84-9 is required. Bidders must comply with prevailing wage rates on public improvements in Medina County as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Labor and Worker Safety as detailed in the Bid Documents. The bid will be awarded to the lowest and best bidder. The Wadsworth Township Trustees reserve the right to reject any and all bids.
