The project consists of completing streambank repairs to the Rountree Branch in several locations. Work includes clearing and grubbing, regrading of the streambank, placement of riprap and topsoil, and restoration. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least five percent of the amount bid, payable to the owner as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The bidder is required to deliver the original certified check or bid bond within 72 hours of bid opening. Bids may not be withdrawn within 90 days after the date of the bid opening. The owner reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantity of any item or portion of the work, or to omit portions of the work as may be deemed necessary, and to award the contract to the bidder who, in the judgment of the owner, will best serve the interest of the owner.
