The work consists of the phased modification of two hydraulic passenger elevators located in one building at the UW-Platteville campus. The modification scope includes new microprocessor controls, hydraulic pumping units, door operators, fixtures, and new LED cab lighting. Additional work includes painting of the elevator pit floor and elevator machine room floor, upgrading machine room and pit lighting, and providing additional fire alarm detection devices to the existing system. The two elevators are as follows: Phase 1 covers a 2-stop hydraulic elevator with front openings only, 3,500 lbs capacity, and 100 fpm speed; Phase 2 covers a 3-stop hydraulic elevator with two front and three rear openings, 3,500 lbs capacity, and 100 fpm speed. The fire alarm system is based on the Edwards System Technology EST3 series. All bidding documents are accessible electronically, and bid submissions must occur through specified electronic or delivery methods. Only bids from certified contractors will be accepted. No formal pre-bid tour will be conducted, but site visits are encouraged.
