Sealed bids will be received for the Building Addition at the Walter T. Bergen Middle School, 225 Glenwild Avenue, Bloomingdale, New Jersey, together with all work incidental thereto, in accordance with the requirements of the drawings and specifications prepared by Gianforcaro Architects, Engineers & Planners. Bids must be submitted for a single overall contract and all work incidental thereto. Each bidder must submit their bid in a sealed envelope, including a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for not less than ten percent of the bid amount (up to $20,000.00), and a Certificate of Consent of Surety stating that the bidder and all subcontractors (if successful) will be provided a performance/payment bond for the full amount of the contract. Bidders and their subcontractors are required to be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and possess current certification of compliance with the Public Works Contractor Registration Act. Proof of registration with the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue is also required prior to award of the contract. If the bid exceeds $20,000, bidders and all general construction contractors and subcontractors must be prequalified and possess a valid Notice of Classification in the discipline of C008 (General Construction) or C009 (General Construction/Alterations and Additions). Bids must be submitted on the designated proposal forms and comply with all applicable federal, state, and municipal laws, ordinances, and regulations. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject all bids, waive minor informalities, and not award a contract for any portion of the project. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after bid opening.
