Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Saint John, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and road / highway.

The public improvement project will consist generally of construction improvements various streets throughout St John, all as set out in the Project Specifications on file upon which bids will be received. Award of the Alternate Bid #1 may be contingent on the Town receiving additional funding via Senate Bill 179. The work shall be performed in full accordance with the Project Specifications on file in the Office of the Town Manager. All bids shall be unit price bids. The contract will be awarded to the most responsive and responsible bidder on the basis of the lowest bid submitted by a qualified bidder in the manner and with the supplemental documents and affidavits prescribed. Bids shall be executed on the Standard Contractor's Bid Form for Public Works and shall be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit. Each submittal shall also be accompanied by a Contractor's Bid for Public Works Form No. 96, prescribed by the Indiana State Board of Accounts, and by an acceptable certified, cashier's check or bid bond, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the TOTAL bid made payable to the Town of St. John. The Contractor to whom the work is awarded will be required to furnish a surety bond acceptable to the Town in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Each Bidder shall be prepared to promptly enter into a construction contract, furnish surety bond, and to commence the work in accordance with the provisions of the Instructions to Bidders and the Specifications, in the event that the award of the Construction Contract is made to that bidder. Upon the completion of the construction and the final acceptance of the same, the successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a maintenance bond for a period of two (2) years. No bidder may withdraw their submittal within a period of sixty (60) days following the date as established herein for receiving formal bids. The Town reserves the right to hold any and all bids for a period of not to exceed sixty (60) days; said bids shall remain in full force and effect during said period. . The Town of St. John reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding process.
