Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Saint John, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
As of April 29, 2026, the project was awarded to Dyer Construction, with an awarded amount of $3,383,878.43. The project consists of the reconstruction of Joliet St. with the addition of a Two-Way Left Turn Lane, a multi-use path, and drainage improvements as specified in the Project Specifications. Bidders must submit unit price bids, executed on the Standard Contractor's Bid Form for Public Works and accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit, Contractor's Bid for Public Works Form No. 96, and a certified, cashier's check or bid bond not less than five percent of the total bid amount. The successful contractor must provide a surety bond for one hundred percent of the contract price and, after completion and final acceptance, must furnish a maintenance bond for two years. Bidders must be prepared to enter into a construction contract, furnish the required surety bond, and commence work as specified. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding process.
