This project consists of installing a new 6' x 4' x 8' precast raw water intake structure within Asbury Creek, along with approximately 320 linear feet of 8-inch C900 PVC water main to connect to the existing pump station. Construction of the raw water intake structure must occur within the Oregon DEQ-mandated in-water work window of July 1 through September 15. Installation of the water main must be completed prior to beginning work on the raw water intake structure. The existing intake structure is located within the footprint of the proposed ODOT Asbury Creek Bridge project and must be relocated upstream, outside the bridge construction limits. The existing intake structure will be abandoned in place, and a new intake structure will be constructed outside of the proposed bridge project area. Bidders must be pre-qualified with the owner or engineer to submit a bid. No bid shall be received or considered unless the bidder is registered with the Construction Contractors Board as required by ORS chapter 701.021. Bids must be completed on the prescribed forms and accompanied by a 5% bid security. Each bidder must indicate resident status, and by submission, certify compliance with ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870. Oregon Prevailing Wage Rates are included in the bid prices. Bidders must submit a disclosure form for all first-tier subcontractors within two working hours of the Bid Closing, identifying those providing labor or materials equal to or greater than 5% of the contract price (and at least $15,000), or $350,000 regardless of percentage. Only bids with a timely disclosure form will be considered responsive. Contractors do not need to be licensed for asbestos handling per ORD 468A.720 to complete the project. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and may waive all informalities. No bidder may withdraw or modify their bid for thirty days after bid opening.
