Site work and renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Newark, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and playground / park / athletic field.
The scope of work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, transportation, and services necessary for the construction and completion of playground equipment replacement and park improvements at Jerry Raber Ash Street Park, Mirabeau Park, and Birch Grove Park in Newark, CA. Work includes procuring and receiving playground equipment sets from specified suppliers or approved equals; demolishing, removing, and off-hauling existing playground equipment, foundations, and ground mulch fiber; providing footings and foundations per manufacturer specifications; compacting sub-base; installing resilient rubber flooring and playground equipment per manufacturer's specifications and considering playground fall heights; off-hauling and disposing of all debris and unused material; protecting existing play area boundary curbs and park pathways; performing site work, preparation, and installation of poured-in-place rubber paving by specified suppliers or approved equals, at depths appropriate to equipment fall heights; and constructing a new climbing boulder and related earthwork and curbs at Mirabeau Park. Contractors must furnish all necessary labor, materials, equipment, temporary construction fencing, restroom facilities, and incidentals to complete the work in accordance with all project specifications, standard and special provisions, and all drawings and details. A staging plan must be submitted for approval prior to starting work. Bidders are strongly urged to visit the job sites before submitting bids. Submission of a bid is considered acknowledgment of site investigation. Bid alternates vary by site and should be reviewed individually.
