Site work and paving for a road / highway in Farrell, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The scope of work includes the construction of four ADA compliant ramps, approximately 600 square yards of roadway reconstruction with bituminous pavement and all necessary appurtenances and restoration for said construction. There are add alternates for additional concrete curb and concrete sidewalk replacement and roadway resurfacing. This project is being funded, in part, by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. Bidders shall comply with all application CDBG regulations. The Contract Documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices, goals for minority and female participation, MBE and WBE participation, participation by Section 3 residents and businesses and related matters. Davis Bacon wage rates apply. Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the City. The bid must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the City of Farrell to guarantee the bidder's entrance into the contract if given the award. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids.
