The project includes the renovation of the existing wood and metal building structure located at 121 Park Avenue in Pleasantville, NJ. Work involves limited site clearing, demolition and replacement of the existing metal siding, windows, doors, roof, and a new concrete floor slab. Interior improvements include new restrooms, multi-function space, storage, and office areas. New building systems to be provided include HVAC systems, new plumbing systems, new electrical and fire alarm systems, and a new fire suppression system. Site improvements, landscaping, and utilities will be bid separately under a separate contract. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond drawn to the order of the Atlantic County Improvement Authority, on the form furnished with the Bid Forms and other Contract Documents, for a sum of ten (10) percent of the total bid amount (not to exceed $20,000). Each bid must also include all other documents and information required by the Bid Documents. Bidders must comply with the laws and regulations of the State of New Jersey pertaining to construction projects including but not limited to: Law Against Discrimination, Prevailing Wage Act, Business Registration Act, Local Unit 'Pay to Play' Law, and all amendments thereof. Bidders must submit a non-collusion affidavit with their bids. Prevailing wages under the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act and the Davis-Bacon Act apply. The higher of the Federal or State wage or fringe benefit rates shall prevail.
