Demolition, site work, new construction and renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Juneau, Alaska. Completed plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

This project consists of demolishing and disposing of the existing, damaged backstops at Dimond Park Field #1 and Savikko Park Field #4, including all foundations and other associated buried appurtenances, and replacing them with new Patterson Williams 19'-6" x 44' Hooded Backstops with Three Planks - Model #1234-03. All excavation, backfill, and restoration of ballfield topping to lines and grades found existing prior to construction are included. The contractor shall salvage all field topping from the surface of any excavations before commencing any digging to remove or install fence posts or to install the new fence anchoring system. Upon installation of backstops and fencing, the contractor shall replace the disturbed ballfield surface with the salvaged field topping, regrade, and compact to uniform preconstruction grades and conditions. Additional work items may include demolishing and disposing of the existing backstop and installing a new backstop at Mendenhall River Elementary Baseball field, closely coordinated with the Engineer as funding allows.
