The City of Sedro-Woolley is soliciting bids under the Small Works Roster utilizing MRSC Rosters for an emergency unit priced (as-needed) contract for plumbing repair services. The contract will cover emergency as-needed plumbing services for a 12-month period. Work includes repair and maintenance of plumbing systems and annual testing for twenty-eight backflow devices ranging from ¾-inch to 6-inch diameter at various city locations. The annual contract limit will not exceed $15,000. There is no minimum guaranteed amount. Bidders must be qualified and familiar with plumbing systems, with a demonstrated history of responsiveness, technical expertise, and professionalism. Contractors must respond to City calls within 1 hour between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and within 2 hours at other times. Response time is defined as having adequate resources necessary to perform the work on-site. Basis for selection includes comparison of on-call plumbing services based on a sample service repair trip, quoted man-hour, equipment rates, mobilization/demobilization costs, review of qualifications and references, and capacity to respond within the stated time frame. The City reserves the right to accept the lowest responsible bid, reject any or all bids, revise or cancel the work to be performed, or do the work otherwise if it serves the best interest of the City.
