Sealed bids are invited from experienced and eligible contractors for the South Side Athletic Annex Baseball and Locker Improvements, P/B Bid # BD101869. Bidders must provide all labor, material, and services necessary to complete the project in strict accordance with the drawings and specifications prepared by Jones Petrie Rafinski (JPR). Bids are to be submitted by a single prime contractor. Bid proposals must include a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the bid amount, payable to Fort Wayne Community Schools. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds in the full contract amount will be required from the successful bidder within ten (10) days of contract execution. Plans, specifications, and bid forms are available at Eastern Engineering’s Virtual Planroom or their physical office. Only complete sets will be distributed and require a refundable deposit. Bids must adhere to all instructions, and any bid received late or at the wrong location will be returned unopened. Fort Wayne Community Schools reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and assign all or part of any bid or contract to a non-profit building corporation controlled by the school system. All contracts are contingent upon sufficient financing and may be terminated if funds are insufficient. Bids may not be withdrawn for sixty (60) days following the designated receipt date without consent. A pre-bid conference and project site visit are also detailed in the instructions.
