**As of April 8, 2026, this project has been awarded.** The scope of work involves providing a district-wide uniform updated security and camera surveillance system at all facilities and related campuses or properties operated by the Metropolitan School District of Southwest Allen County, Indiana, with a new network service located at the SACS Technology Department. Bids must include the installation of Vicon/Valerus surveillance camera equipment and related systems at all facilities, as specified. Alternatively, bidders may propose installation of other surveillance camera equipment and systems, provided they are comparable and equivalent to, or better than, Vicon/Valerus products, as determined solely by SACS. Such bids must include details supporting equivalency or superiority and the cost for removing existing Vicon/Valerus equipment, installing new equipment at all locations, and training SACS staff accordingly. No refurbished or remanufactured products or equipment are allowed. Bidders must submit sealed bids including all necessary labor, materials, and services per the drawings and specifications. Each bid requires a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for 5% of the bid amount. Bids may not be withdrawn, modified, or canceled for 60 days following submission unless SACS consents. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds for 100% of the contract amount are required within 10 days of contract execution and must remain effective for 12 months after Substantial Completion. SACS reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and terminate the bidding process at its sole discretion. No compensation will be provided for bid preparation costs. Bids submitted after the deadline or to an incorrect location will be returned unopened.
