The contract involves replacing the old router with a newer one, adding an extender mesh to the existing Wi-Fi network, and ensuring seamless integration of the latest equipment with the current system. Contractor shall provide all needed labor, materials, supervision, quality and safety measures, and all other necessary resources required to update the patient Wi-Fi system at VA Northern Indiana Health Care System – Fort Wayne Campus. Work includes: replacing selected patient Wi-Fi access points, firewall, and Wi-Fi switches; installing new directional and omnidirectional antennas; installing new routers, repeaters, consoles, servers; adding and removing access points; adding CAT6A cabling; installing all necessary wiring and racking; and returning all replaced equipment to VANIHCS Engineering. Work in Building 8 shall be performed during off hours. All materials sourced and installed must be compatible with each other. The contractor must coordinate project expectations with subcontractors, provide a site-specific safety plan, construction schedule, and submittals prior to installation, and supply the VA with a list of all usernames and passwords created during installation prior to final payment. Contractors must dispose of all waste and clean up their work area after every shift. Contractors shall clearly include the solicitation or contract number on all submitted documents. Only the Contracting Officer has authority to change or alter requirements; the COR may clarify technical points but cannot alter requirements.
