The Town of West Springfield, through its Central Maintenance Department, is seeking proposals from qualified painting contractors for painting and abatement work to be completed at Memorial Elementary School located at 201 Norman Street, West Springfield, MA 01089. General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Certified Payroll - Employee Background Checks Required - Insurance Required - Prevailing Wage Required Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Payment Bond 50 % A $500/day penalty charge will be assessed if the contractor does not meet the specified final completion date. This contract will be awarded only to a responsive and responsible bidder whose bid meets all of the requirements in the specifications. The contract shall be awarded by the Chief Procurement Officer, which reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in part or in whole, any and all proposals or to take whatever action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of West Springfield. Bids will remain firm for sixty (60) days following the opening of proposals.
