This is a lead service line replacement project involving replacing 79 lead or galvanized iron water service lines with new HDPE or copper lines in Duluth's Denfeld neighborhood. May require licensed plumbers for interior connections, certified pipe layers, and prevailing wage compliance. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Water service replacements may be from the main to the curb stop, from the curb stop to the building, or both. The project includes 1 small-diameter HDPE water main extensions to replace shared lead water service lines. Work will take place in the right of way as well as on private property and within private buildings. Restoration of all public and private property is required, including but not limited to concrete and bituminous surfaces, vegetation and landscaping.
