This project involves the rebuilding of the signalized intersection at Highway 89 and Smokerise Drive. The work includes the complete replacement of the traffic signal, realignment of the median, installation of curb ramps, signing, and striping. The project aims to bring the intersection into compliance with MUTCD standards and to enhance safety for all modes of travel by providing proper signal heads, sight distance, road alignment, pedestrian facilities, and street lighting. Additionally, there is a bid alternate for work at the Country Club and Nestle Purina intersection for signal replacement and related tasks as shown on engineering plans. Bidders must demonstrate capacity to execute the work, including adequate finances, equipment, facilities, staff, and consideration for existing commitments. Subcontractor qualification, relevant experience, and a strong performance record are required. Both positive and negative performance factors will be considered. Bidders must also hold any necessary and valid State of Arizona licenses and provide all requested information truthfully. The Owner may select a contractor based on factors beyond lowest price, including responsibility and relevant criteria. Detailed plans and specifications are available via the provided website links. The City of Flagstaff will accept competitive bids from qualified contractors for Hwy 89 and Smokerise Rebuild Project. The scope of work involves construction. Each bid shall be submitted in OpenGov under the Section titled "Bid Pricing," to the specifications and shall be accompanied by a bid bond acceptable to the City of Flagstaff for a sum of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid made payable to the order of the City of Flagstaff. The Bid Bond will be returned to the contractors whose Bids are not accepted, and to the successful Bidder, upon execution of a satisfactory Contract, and receipt of Insurance Certificate, Performance Bond and Payment Bond.
