The project consists of removing and replacing the existing fuel oil infrastructure serving the building space heating system at Sageville Elementary School with new Liquified Petroleum Gas (LP) infrastructure. The scope of work includes: removal of existing fuel oil powered boiler burners and associated fuel oil system pumps, piping, accessories, controls, below ground tanks, and supporting portions of the building's electrical system; installation of new LP powered boiler burners and associated LP system piping, accessories, controls, vaporizer, three 1,000 gallon above ground storage tanks, and supporting electrical materials; provision of new concrete tank supports, a new concrete slab, and new fencing to protect the equipment and building occupants; and removal and replacement of existing on-site construction, earth, and concrete to facilitate the removal of the fuel oil system and installation of the new LP system. Project Site Address: 12015 Sherrill Rd, Dubuque, IA 52002 1. On-site work for the project is to commence on or after June 8, 2026. 2. Substantial completion of the Sageville Fuel Oil Tank Replacement Project shall be no later than August 14, 2026. Bids must be submitted on the provided Bid Form, with a completed State of Iowa Bidder Status Form, in a sealed envelope marked with the project name and bidder's address. Each bid must be accompanied by bid security of ten percent (10%) of the total bid, in approved forms. The successful bidder must furnish a Certificate of Insurance and Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, each for 100% of the contract price. No oral, facsimile, or telephonic bids or modifications are allowed. All bids must be sealed and plainly marked. The project is tax exempt and Iowa State Sales Tax should not be included in bid totals. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids, and to waive informalities or irregularities. Preference will be given to products and provisions produced within the State of Iowa to the extent lawfully required under Iowa statutes. Attendance at a pre-bid meeting is encouraged but not mandatory. All bids must be held for forty-five (45) calendar days after the opening date for consideration.
