Huntsville Housing Authority is requesting bids from qualified, licensed, and insured contractors for reroofing work at Northwoods Addition, Searcy Homes, and Brookside. Bidders are required to provide separate, sealed bids to the Huntsville Housing Authority. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, determine what is considered equal to the specifications and scope of work, waive any informality in the bids received, and accept any bid that may be in the best interest of the Authority. Project Location: Various Sites a. (SITE 1) Northwoods Addition b. (SITE 2) Searcy Homes c. (SITE 3) Brookside The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. This project consists of re-roofing 87 buildings at Northwoods, 38 buildings at Searcy Homes and 36 buildings at Brookside. All of which are Huntsville Housing Authority owned and managed properties. Typical re-roof work includes removal of existing shingles, underlayments, rain diverters, ridge vents, penetration flashings, roof vents and roof edge flashings. New installation includes shingles, underlayments, rain diverters, ridge vents, penetration flashings, roof vents and roof edge flashings. Existing roof substrate and fascia board is to be inspected during demolition. Substrate and fascia board deemed unfit is to be replaced in-kind.
