WUSD wishes to improve the tennis court at River City High School with a removal and replacement of the tennis hardcourt. Restriping of hardcourt. Bidders must submit sealed bids, which must include a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check for ten percent of the total bid price as a guarantee to enter into a contract if awarded. The successful bidder will be required to furnish 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond. The contractor will also be responsible for purchasing and removing old materials from the school grounds if required by the specifications, and must state the amount to be deducted from the price bid for the work as the purchase price of the old materials. The successful bidder must either meet the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise goal of three percent participation or show a good faith effort to solicit participation. All workers must be paid prevailing wage rates. The project is subject to labor compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The contractor must comply with the Davis-Bacon Act, applicable reporting requirements, and Buy American requirements if federal funds are used. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive responsible bidder based on the base bid amount only. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. No bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety days after the bid opening. Pre-qualification requirements: To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to possess one or more of the following State of California contractors' license(s): A, B, and/or appropriate C license. The Bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. The Bidder must be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations. Only prequalified bidders will be eligible to submit a bid for this Project.
