Remodeling of an educational facility in West Sacramento, California. Completed plans call for the remodel of a educational facility.
WUSD wishes to improve the lighting system at Yolo High School by upgrading the current system with a LED system. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to possess one or more of the following State of California contractors' license(s): A, B, and/or appropriate C license. The Bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations. Contract Documents will be available for review at the District Facilities Office and may be downloaded from the District's website. Sealed bids will be received at the District Facilities Office. Only prequalified bidders will be eligible to submit a bid. All bids must be on the form provided by the District. Each bid must conform and be responsive to all pertinent Contract Documents, including the Instructions to Bidders. A bid bond or equivalent in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price shall accompany the Bid Form and Proposal. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit will be held at Yolo High School. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond. The successful Bidder may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the District. The successful bidder must certify that it meets the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) goal of three percent (3%) participation or has made a good faith effort to solicit DVBE participation. The Contractor and all Subcontractors shall pay prevailing wage rates. The project is subject to labor compliance monitoring and enforcement. The Project is funded with federal funds and is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act and Buy American requirements. The District shall award the Contract to the lowest responsive responsible bidder based on the base bid amount only. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive any irregularity in any bid received. No bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening. Pre-qualification requirements: Only prequalified bidders will be eligible to submit a bid. The Bidder must possess a State of California contractors' license(s): A, B, and/or appropriate C license, and be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations. Bidders must attend the mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit. All bids that are not prequalified or do not meet these requirements shall be non-responsive and returned unopened to the bidder.
