2026 Community Crossings Paving Project Base bid work is for all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to mill and resurface all roads within the 2026 Community Crossing award within the City of Crown Point as determined by its Engineering Department. Work includes applying HMA surface material, installing wedging and leveling binder mix as necessary, excavating and replacing failed areas of base material (stone), and removing and replacing designated sections of curb, driveway aprons, and sidewalk on a per unit basis with either asphalt or concrete as determined by the City of Crown Point Engineering Department. Adjustment of structures and replacement of damaged inlets, catch basins, and manholes are also included. The successful bidder must complete the work by November 1 and perform at least 80% of the work themselves. Bidders must be listed on the most current Indiana Department of Transportation Pre-Qualified Contractors list for the type of work described, and all bidders, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers must have at least five years of progressive experience in similar work. Bid packages and documents must be requested via email and submitted with all required forms, bid security, and certifications. Each bidder must comply with City ordinances and state requirements, including those related to responsible bidding, E-verify, non-collusion, and investment activities in Iran. The City reserves the right to retain, reject, or award bids at its discretion.
