The work consists of the removal of existing storm drain pipes, clearing and grubbing, and the installation of trash management devices at a single location. The project is funded with local funds. At the time the contract is awarded, the contractor must possess either a Class A Contractor License or a combination of classes required by the types of work included. Prevailing wage rates must be paid to members of each craft or classification performing work on the project. Contractors and subcontractors must be registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. Five percent (5%) will be withheld from each progress payment and may be substituted with securities as allowed by law. The Project Bid Book and Construction Plans are available through the Public Purchase online bidding service, and all questions regarding the project must be submitted through Public Purchase. Bidders are also subject to state contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements. All questions and requests for information regarding the project must be submitted through Public Purchase on the project link. Responses to questions will be distributed to plan holders via Public Purchase. Questions and Requests for Information must be submitted five (5) business days prior to bid opening. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. Request for Proposal for design services is underway. Event Pre-Bid Meeting Notes : The City will also answer any questions pertaining to the Plans, Contract, and Specifications. Bidder's attendance at this meeting is non-mandatory.
