Site work and paving for a road / highway in Chico, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

In general, the work to be done under the 2026 Road Rehabilitation - E. 20th Street (State Route 99 NB Ramps to Notre Dame Blvd) Project, consists of the following: _ Full depth reclamation (FDR-C) of E. 20th Street from the west curb return of the SR99 NB ramps to Notre Dame Boulevard _ Following potholing by the contractor, where full 12" FDR is not feasible due to constraints, shallow drainage pipes and utility conflicts, full depth HMA will be constructed _ Minor drainage improvements _ Curb ramp replacement _ Pedestrian push button improvements _ Restriping to incorporate a buffered bike lane along both sides of E. 20th Street The additive alternate bid comprises installation of fiber conduit and vaults and water valve relocation. FUNDING SOURCE This project is funded with Local Measure H funds. CONTRACT TIME The Project has 65 Working Days. PREBID OUTREACH MEETING A Prebid outreach meeting will be held. All questions and requests for information regarding the project must be submitted through Online on the project link. Responses to questions will be distributed to plan holders via online. Questions and Requests for Information must be submitted five (5) business days prior to bid opening. LICENSING REQUIREMENTS At the time the City awards the contract for this project, the Contractor shall possess either a Class A Contractor License or a combination of classes required by the categories and types of work included in this contract. This contract is subject to state contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990. CALIFORNIA PREVAILING WAGES REQUIREMENTS This project requires the payment of prevailing wage rates to be paid to members of each craft or classification performing work on this project. REGISTRATION WITH DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS A contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. It is not a violation of this section for an unregistered contractor to submit a bid that is authorized by Section 7029.1 of the Business and Professions Code or by Section 10164 or 20103.5 of the Public Contract Code, provided the contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded. PAYMENT RETENTIONS; SUBSTITUTION OF SECURITIES Five Percent (5%) will be withheld from each progress payment made to the contractor for work performed and will be held until completion of the work, its acceptance and the expiration of the period provided by law for filing liens by laborers or materialmen. In accordance with the provisions of Section 22300 of the Public Contract Code of the State of California, securities may be substituted for the monies which the City withholds, or the Contractor may request that retention be paid to an escrow agent. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, cashier's check, certified check, or a bidder's bond executed by an admitted surety insurer made payable to the City of Chico for an amount equal to at least 10% of the total bid amount, such guaranty to be forfeited should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to enter into the contract.
