Renovation of a transportation facility in Centralia, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
All questions should be directed to: Justin Johnson, Capital & Special Projects South Central IL Mass Transit District 1616 East McCord Street Centralia, IL 62801 jjohnson@southcentraltransit.org South Central Illinois Mass Transit District (SCT) is seeking bids for roof replacements. The scope of work and specifications are outlined in the Invitation for Bid. Bidders must meet the terms and conditions set forth in the document and its attachments. All interested contractors should complete a Contractor's Registration Form and submit it via e-mail. The right is reserved to accept any bid, or any part(s) thereof, or to reject any or all bids. Acceptance of a bid is subject to concurrence by the Illinois Department of Transportation and the United States Department of Transportation. Any resulting contract is subject to financial assistance agreements with these agencies. Contractors will be required to comply with all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations. Funding is provided in whole or in part by the Illinois Department of Transportation. This work shall consist of tear off and disposal of existing roofing material, underlayment (including ice and water shield if previously installed), and any damaged/rotted substrates on which the roof and accessories are to be applied, furnishing, fabricating, assembling and erecting a standing seam metal roof(maintenance building on McCord St.) including all associated hardware required in conformity with the manufacturer's recommendations and the specifications of the building to ensure a watertight installation. This work shall also consist of tear off and disposal of existing roofing material, underlayment (including ice and water shield if previously installed), and any damaged/rotted substrates on which the roof and accessories are to be applied, furnishing, fabricating, assembling and erecting a EPDM roof including all associated hardware required in conformity with the manufacturer's recommendations and the specifications of the building to ensure a watertight installation on the Admin building on McCord St and Transportation Center at 100 N Locust St. Work shall include identification and correction (as approved by South Central Transit) of any water penetrations. There are some known water penetration issues. Known issues will be shared during site walk at pre-bid meeting. Deadline for Questions Regarding this IFB extended to 5-29-2026 as per Addendum 3
