Renovation of a mixed-use development in Riverside, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and educational facility.
The project is for HVAC Replacement at North and Chemawa. Each bidder and all subcontractors must be licensed contractors pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code and must be licensed to perform the scope of work specified in the contract documents, with the required License Classification: C-61/D-49 or C-49. All bids must strictly conform to and be responsive to the contract documents. Each bidder must submit a list of designated subcontractors as required by the Subletting and Subcontracting Fair Practices Act, California Public Contract Code Sections 4100 et seq. DSA # 04-124508 FILE # 33-38 RCA Job No. 1-75-31 Question Deadline 03/26/2026 Requests for Clarification must be emailed to: mkaspar@riversideunified.org, and mpgarcia@riversideunified.org. Bidders must provide bidder's security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, in the form of cash, cashier's check, certified check, or bidder's bond executed by a California admitted surety. The contractor awarded the project and all subcontractors must pay at least the general prevailing rate of per diem wages as required by California Labor Code Sections 1720 et seq. A contractor or subcontractor must be currently registered and qualified to perform public work, in accordance with Labor Code section 1725.5. If the project includes work performed by mechanical, electrical, or plumbing (MEP) subcontractors with specified licenses, they must also be prequalified. A list of prequalified MEP subcontractors will be made available at least five business days before the bid opening date. The bidder is responsible for ensuring all MEP subcontractors with the listed licenses are properly prequalified before submitting a bid. No bid may be withdrawn for 90 calendar days after the bid opening. The successful bidder must provide separate payment and performance bonds, each for 100% of the contract amount, issued by a California admitted surety. Bidders must strive to meet a goal of 3% participation by Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (D.V.B.E.) or make a good faith effort and report actual participation at project completion. Requests for substitutions pursuant to Public Contracts Code Section 3400 must be made on the specified form at least seven business days before bid opening. Bidders should review DSA approval timing, manufacture, delivery, installation, and other requirements in the Agreement Form prior to bidding.
