The project is for HVAC Replacement at North and Chemawa. Each bidder and all subcontractors must be licensed contractors pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code and must be licensed to perform the scope of work specified in the contract documents, with the required License Classification: C-61/D-49 or C-49. Bidders must provide bidder's security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, in the form of cash, cashier's check, certified check, or bidder's bond executed by a California admitted surety. The contractor awarded the project and all subcontractors must pay at least the general prevailing rate of per diem wages as required by California Labor Code Sections 1720 et seq. A contractor or subcontractor must be currently registered and qualified to perform public work, in accordance with Labor Code section 1725.5. If the project includes work performed by mechanical, electrical, or plumbing (MEP) subcontractors with specified licenses, they must also be prequalified. A list of prequalified MEP subcontractors will be made available at least five business days before the bid opening date. The bidder is responsible for ensuring all MEP subcontractors with the listed licenses are properly prequalified before submitting a bid.
