Site work and paving for a road / highway in Boxborough, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The work under this item shall consist of micro-milling the existing pavement to the depth and at the locations specified in the Contract Documents or as required by the DPW Director. The micro-milling operation shall include a control strip to be approved by the DPW Director for construction. Unless otherwise specified, the milled material shall become the property of the Town of Boxborough. Question Deadline 04/06/2026 Requests for approved equal status, clarification of specifications and/or protests of specifications must be made in writing and emailed to the DPW Director Ed Kukkula, ekukkula@boxborough-ma.gov. For the micro-milling and resurfacing of Middle Road , Cobleigh Road, Depot Road (from Middle Road to Liberty Square Road), Prescott Road, Guggins Road, Boxmill Road, Benjamin Drive, and Tokatawan Spring Lane. MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as, Pavement Surfacing, for the project with an estimated value of $966,000 and Town Funding of $463,000 for a total of $1,429,000. All bids, accompanied by a 5% bid bond or deposit This contract is subject to the schedule of prevailing wage rates as determined by the Department of Labor and Industries as specifi ed in MGL c149, 26-27D inclusive, as may be amended. The Town of Boxborough (Town) reserves the right to reject any or all bids that it deems are not in the best interest of the Town, amend the specifi cations after giving notice to all known bidders or cancel the procurement. Event Bid date Notes : sealed envelope clearly marked "Sealed Bid - Micro-milling and resurfacing Middle Road, Cobleigh Road, Depot Road (from Middle Road to Liberty Square Road) and Prescott Road,at that time the bids will be publicly opened and read in the Morse-Hilberg room, located upstairs at Town Hall. The Town will not accept late bids due to any type of mail or courier delay. All bids shall have the name of the bidder clearly marked on the outside of the bid envelope.
