Sealed bids will be received for the construction of 0.086 miles of bridge and approaches on the Learned Oakley Road, known as Local System Bridge Program Project No. LSBP-25(60) in Hinds County, Mississippi. The principal items of work include mobilization, clearing and grubbing, removal of precast concrete bridge and asphalt pavement, excavation, installation of corrugated polyethylene pipe, placement of crushed stone, right-of-way markers, maintenance of traffic, construction signage, and various erosion control items such as agricultural limestone, fertilizer, seeding, mulching, silt fence, and wattles. Bridge-specific items include test piles, prestressed concrete piling, pre-formed pile holes, precast concrete slab units and barrier rails, precast concrete caps and wings, loose riprap, and geotextile under rip rap. Contract time is 60 working days. The award will be made to the lowest qualified bidder on the basis of published quantities. Minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against. The project must be constructed in accordance with the latest edition of the Mississippi Standard Specifications for State Aid Road and Bridge Construction. Plans and proposals are available for purchase. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the total bid. Bids must be physically delivered and accompanied by all required documentation. Any proposal with qualifying conditions will be considered irregular and will not be considered for award.
